Laura O'Kelly: Links

TRASNA
blue ridge celtic fusion, y'all! This was my second to last band, and I'm proud to say we released our first CD in 2004. TRASNA is mostly on hiatus, but you never know what festival we might just go ahead and appear at next.
Jeff Greer Band
I mostly played fiddle with this celtic rock group, which went into retirement a year ago. You can still find video/audio clips, pictures, information, and a bunch of people still hooked on the guestbook! Will there be a reunion show in the future? One never knows, but you owe it to yourself to experience the celternative.
Daltai na Gaeilge
"Students of Irish" If you're interested in learning the Irish language, they offer classes for every level. Even if you don't take a class, the site is a great resource.
Wen McNally - creative photographer
One of the best photographers around. My words can't do her work justice; you'll have to check it out and see for yourself!
Kennedy Center, "Washington's Best Emerging Irish Artists"
See/hear Laura in her early days, as a singer with the band Cimeara! They performed at the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage in May 2000 as "Washington's Best Emerging Irish Artists" during the KC's "Island: Arts from Ireland" festival. (Note from me: these were some of the most talented musicians I've ever played with--what was I doing up there with them?!--and they've all gone on to fabulous things. Have a listen and you'll see why!)
Community Music School of the Piedmont
Offering music lessons at several locations in the Loudoun/Fauquier area. They have one heck of a fiddle teacher. 8^)
Allegro Community Music School
Based out of Vint Hill (near Warrenton), they recently opened a new facility. Always wanted to play fiddle or violin? Sign up now!
Rust Kings
Great band, great live show. They call their music "Appalachian Stompgrass." What else could you need to know?
